Introduction

Dear Reader/Listener,

When I was small, very small -- my memory tells me I must've been only four or five years old -- I was invited to tell stories at the National Museum of American History. When I was in elementary school, I began writing my own stories.

Now I'm the radio voice for the Lansing Lugnuts, telling stories on a nightly basis over the course of a 140-game baseball season, and writing my own short fiction in the off-season.

I'm motivated by a taste for satire, strangeness, whimsy, though there are also times when I simply need to blurt nonsense or express sadness.  It remains a joy for me that I never know which story is going to resonate with which reader/listener. I hope you find one, or more, that strikes your fancy as well.

It is my pleasure to present these short stories to you, as well as many more to come.

If you have any questions and comments, feel free to email me via jgoldstrass at hotmail.com.

Sincerely,

Jesse Goldberg-Strassler
